Editorially reviewed clinical cases

Turn everyday consultations into interactive medical education

Describe a case in your own words and Clinical Case Compass turns it into an interactive teaching case — five single best answer questions, clinical reasoning, discussion prompts and a portfolio-ready reflection. Every case joins a growing public library.

Identifiers are removed in your browser and you review the result before anything is submitted.

Frequently asked questions

Do you remove patient-identifiable information?

Clinical Case Compass runs a privacy review in your browser before anything is submitted. It automatically replaces obvious identifiers — NHS numbers, postcodes, phone numbers, addresses, dates — and recognises names from the words around them, so “Dr Patel” becomes “the clinician”. Anything it cannot resolve is highlighted rather than changed silently: these may be genuine identifiers, fictional names or substituted names, and we cannot tell which. It is a first pass, not a guarantee. You are shown every change, you can edit the case, and you confirm it before submitting. Every case is then read by our editorial team before publication.

Is my original recording or wording uploaded?

No. Dictation uses your browser's own speech recognition and no audio is ever uploaded or stored by us. The text you write or dictate stays in your browser — only the case you have reviewed and approved is submitted.

Can I add my own cases?

Yes. Anyone can add a case — press Add your case at the top of any page.

Who creates the educational content?

Cases are currently created and reviewed editorially as part of the MVP. Automated generation is planned for a later release.

Will more cases be added?

Yes. The library grows continuously as new cases are submitted and reviewed.
